Origin: Seattle, WAMajor: Biology & AAPTIS (Arabic, Armenian, Persian, Turkish, and Islamic Studies)Research Interests: Gender Politics! I explore how females (especially adolescent girls) living in areas of armed conflict cope with their political realities and how this affects their everyday lives. I aim to reconstruct the false portrayal of a woman as the timeless victim, and instead, help give her agency by highlighting some of the complexities that surround her existence.
